I have had the privilege of working on various reports, including the Impact Report, MASIC Report, and The Salvation Army's Annual Report. What I love most about designing reports is the challenge of visualising data in creative and engaging ways while staying true to the TSA brand.

For the 2024 Annual Report, I was entrusted with greater creative freedom, allowing me to push creative boundaries and craft a homelessness-themed cover. This concept brought together three elements: two stock photographs, one brand image, and my own hand-drawn sketch, with the logo strategically integrated into a pencil to reinforce the message. Throughout the report, I introduced fresh infographics, dynamic statistical pages, and more visuals, applying a unique fresh style to elevate the overall design and storytelling.

Synopsis: Learnings from designing reports for the Salvation Army

Designing reports has been an enriching journey of balancing creativity with structure. Each project has taught me the importance of storytelling through visuals, where data isn't just numbers but a narrative waiting to unfold. I've learned to approach design with curiosity and empathy, ensuring that every infographic, chart, or layout communicates effectively while aligning with brand guidelines. Working on reports like The Salvation Army's Annual Report 2024 allowed me to push creative boundaries, experiment with new techniques, and develop solutions that resonate with the target audience. This process has sharpened my attention to detail, enhanced my ability to visualise complex information, and reinforced the power of design in driving engagement and impact.
